Dr. Gosnell obtained her medical degree from Indiana University in 1999. She completed her Family Medicine residency at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. She began practicing family medicine in North Platte in 2002. Treating the entire family, across all ages, drew her to the specialty of Family Medicine. She especially enjoys caring for the family during pregnancy and assisting in the birth of a new addition to the family. Dr. Gosnell is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice.
Mary completed the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. She has 45 years of nursing experience. She also completed a mini-fellowship on Diabetes at the Brody School of Medicine in Greenville, North Carolina. She developed a screening tool for the clinical setting to evaluate for domestic violence and developed the theory of Learned Helplessness as applied to victims of domestic violence. She is a certified medical examiner for DOT physicals. She enjoys seeing all patients, including well child and women visits, treatment of hypertension and diabetes, and geriatrics. Mary's vocation is being a health care provider and her avocation is being involved with equines and equine activities.
